Organisation

Co-operatives UK

The central membership organisation for co-operative enterprise throughout the UK, promoting co-operative and mutual solutions, working in partnership with our members to build a stronger and increasingly successful co-operative movement. Originally formed as the Co-operative Union in 1869, and working on behalf of the consumer co-operative movement until 2003, when a merger with the Industrial Common Ownership Movement (ICOM) caused it to re-brand itself Co-operatives UK and expand its remit to service the entire UK co-operative movement.
