As specialists in employment law, we provide support through the entire employment life-cycle, from disciplinaries to employment tribunals to settlements.
Advice and guidance
On-demand advice and guidance is tailored to needs on all grievance, disciplinary and performance improvement matters. This could be face-to-face on those important issues needing in-depth analysis, or by telephone and/or email where this delivers a quality service at the pace you need. All employment law issues are catered for, whether you need to sense-check your proposed solution or need guidance on developing your strategy for resolving in-employment issues.
Full support is provided through ACAS early conciliation processes and defence of employment tribunal claims - including advocacy at hearings. We provide an end-to-end support service and lead your negotiation and defence processes. Whether formulating strategies for settlement and negotiating settlement terms during early conciliation, or drafting responses, developing hearing bundles and/or witness statements, we support the whole process. We will ensure you know the merits of your defence and can make sound commercial decisions on how best to conclude a dispute. We undertake hearing advocacy for you in cases up to five days (see exclusions) and strongly believe that the best advice is given by people who not only advise on preparation, knowing all aspects of the case, but also represent you in tribunals and put forward the best possible defence.
Handling settlement discussions and 'without prejudice' talks can be difficult, and we offer support to members of Co-operatives UK with the HR package throughout. We handle communications with external legal representatives, advise on negotiation strategy and help secure and document legally binding resolutions that are in subscribers' best interests.
