We’re looking for a dynamic, driven Programme Manager to lead an exciting new funded programme of work that aims to grow worker ownership across the UK.
Following the successful launch of our #1MillionOwners campaign, we have secured funding to catalyse the voluntary expansion of employee and worker ownership in the UK. The Programme Manager will lead the first phases of a new programme of work to raise awareness of employee and worker ownership among entrepreneurs, workers, business owners and those who advise them; while also co-ordinating expert support for businesses to adopt these models at start-up, as they evolve and through conversion as part of planned ownership succession.
Co-operatives UK and the Employee Ownership Association are working in partnership to deliver this work, and believe this project is the starting point to achieving a fivefold expansion in employee and worker ownership over the next decade, leading to one million employee and worker owners in the UK by 2030.
This role will primarily be about nurturing and building relationships between people, organisations and institutions with authority on the topic of worker ownership. We are looking for a problem solver and someone who is able to work with other ideas and enthusiasm to create something truly collective and collaborative.
