Event gets a taste of European co-operation

Attendees at the National Retail Consumer Conference (NRCC) in February 2012 are being given the opportunity to hear about consumer co-operation in Europe.

On the Sunday, the "Consumer Retailing in Europe" panel will let attendees put their questions to four of the key players in the European movement.

The Wine Society

The Wine Society is the world's oldest co-operative wine club and one of the first UK wine merchants. It is located in Stevenage but operates nationally, and was founded in 1874.

Another successful National Retail Consumer Conference

Co-operatives UK held its National Retail Consumer Conference (NRCC) last weekend (25 - 27 February), where nearly 200 of our members involved in the retail industry came to network, share ideas and learn new ways of doing things.

Ed Mayo, Secretary General of Co-operatives UK, said:

"The National Retail Consumer Conference was an outstanding success. There was a real buzz, a real sense of community and many happy members. We'd like to thank all our speakers and members who made the weekend such a memorable event."

NRCC Raffle

The raffle at this year's National Retail Consumer Conference has managed to raise the unprecidented sum of £2,000 for the Co-operative Group's charity of the year - Mencap - and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
