John Restakis, one of the world’s leading co-operative economic thinkers and educators, is undertaking a short speaking tour of the UK to deliver the inaugural Co-operatives Fortnight lecture.
Sanford Housing Co-operative is located in South East London, in the borough of Lewisham.
The Very People is a co-operative that provides a full range of communications services, from copy-writing and marketing, training courses, business and media advice. It works remotely across the UK from Glasgow, Edinburgh and London to guarantee its clients senior support.
Following the outbreak of foot and mouth, which seriously damaged British agriculture, seven farmers in North Yorkshire joined forces to form a co-operative to supply high quality lamb produced in the North York Moors National Park.
Dynamix is a worker co-operative in Swansea, Wales. It was established in 1989 by 2 people to promote people’s social participation. As a business owned and run by its employees, over the last 22 years it has grown successfully and now has 15 employee members. Its main principles are summed up by its motto: ‘Serious fun’.
