Community and mutual ownership: A historical review
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has published an historical review of community and mutual ownership.
The review, written by Tom Woodin, David Crook and Vincent Carpentier, surveys the history of community and mutual ownership and looks at its implications for policy and practice. They identify five models of ownership and conclude that it takes time to develop the sense of democracy, membership and belonging which have been historically important to the success of community ownership.
