With the debate about ownership of woodlands in England high on the political agenda, we have teamed up with a range of other social enterprise and community organisations to write a letter to the Prime Minister and leading figures in the Coalition Government to appeal for the remit of the forestry Panel to be widened to include greater representation from social enterprise.
Co-operatives UK has worked together with Manchester Metropolitan University to explore and assess the opportunities for co-operatives and mutuals as service providers under personal budgets in social care and health.

A variety of resource packs have been produced by Local United to bring together and support community activists who are setting up social enterprises, including co-operatives to address the challenges of peak oil and climate change.
