Co-operative Awards Winners Announced
The winners of the Co-operative Awards have been announced, celebrating the diverse and important contribution co-operatives make to the economy.
Delta T Devices, the Handmade Bakery, Reddich Co-operative Homes, Whomadeyourpants, Shared Interest and Chelmsford Star all picked up awards for their co-operative excellence.
The Co-operative Awards were introduced last year to celebrate excellence across the co-operative movement, and this year's winners truly show the wide breadth of successes that our better way of business has produced. this year's awards were presented at Co-operatives 2010, the business event of the co-operative calendar.
The Handmade Bakery is one of only a small number of truly artisan bakeries in the UK, working in their community in Slaithwaite, whilst Redditch Co-operative Homes is the largest provider of new build Co-operative Housing in the country. Chelmsford Star have been serving their local community since 1867, whilst Delta-T have been around since 1971 and Whomadeyourpants are relative newcomers, formed in 2008.
Co-operatives UK give our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of the Co-operative Awards 2010, and looks forward to working with them for our further mutual benefit.
