Alamo Housing Co-operative Limited
Alamo Housing Co-operative specialises in bringing empty properties back into use and the provision of short-life housing to people who are in housing need. It is a fully mutual Co-op where all the tenants are shareholding members. Each year the membership elects a Management Committee to oversee the running of the Co-op. The Co-operative employs ten staff who provide housing management, finance and maintenance services. Alamo has been in existence since 1992 and during that time we have housed over 1,300 people whose housing needs could not be met by the public or private sectors. Although its history is closely linked with Islington we now look forward to providing short-life housing solutions wherever they are needed within London.
