Campaign for Co-operation
This discussion group is for everyone interested in the campaign for co-operation - the various strands of work undertaken by Co-operatives UK’s members and staff to promote the co-operative model of business to the public, government and the media. It is place to keep up to date with new developments in campaigns, to post up what you’re working on, to co-ordinate with others, to access press statements, information about priorities in the co-operative sector or other resources and to discuss how, together, we have the biggest impact in promoting the co-operative sector. This area of work shifts with changes in public attitudes, the state of the economy and government priorities, but includes key campaigns for the sector such as campaigning for: • Co-operative ownership of pubs • Fan ownership in football • Co-operative and community ownership of renewable energy • Co-operatives as a way of delivering public services
