Co-operating out of Crime
This group seeks to bring people together who have an interest in exploring and implementing co-operative and mutual approaches to reducing re-offending. The co-operative/mutual sectors have generally not sought to get involved in this sector and this is an attempt to change this situation: to bring co-operative/mutual models to the table and to create more opportunities for "social co-operatives" and "through the gate" co-operatives to enable offenders to create their own paid employment and deliver their own resettlement services to each other pre and post release
