Submitted by john.atherton on 31 October, 2011 - 12:32
CICOPA (the global worker co-op federation) is getting bigger and stronger! With two new sub-regional organisations on the American continent.
On 20th October, CICOPA Mercosur was created as a sub-regional organisation of CICOPA. The cooperative movement in MERCOSUR –an economic and political agreement among Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay-, unites it forces to strengthen its collaboration.
On 13th October, CICOPA North America was established at an historical conference about cooperatives and business succession, which took place in Quebec from 11th to 15th October.
