Co-operatives UK membership certificate competition
Submitted by john.atherton on 31 October, 2011 - 11:42
As every co-operative knows member involvement is key to successful decision making within a co-operative. With that in mind Co-operatives UK is launching a competition for members to design and choose their 2012 membership certificate!
The winner will receive:
- Up to £250 off your 2012 subscription fee
- A free place at one of our 2012 events (worth up to £400)
- Your design and the name of your co-operative will be credited on every member certificate issued to our 700+ member businesses in 2012.
Eligibility:
The competition is open to all members of Co-operatives UK and the closing date is the 27th November 2011.
Purpose:
Each year Co-operatives UK presents every member with a certificate to demonstrate their membership of Co-operatives UK. These certificates are given to all new members and our existing 700+ members when they renew. Many members put the certificate on their wall. Our current certificate is in need of updating and what better time than 2012 the UN Year of Co-operatives that will be celebrated by co-operatives across the world.
The Brief
We want a membership certificate that our members are proud to put on the wall of their office or shop as a way to demonstrate they are part of a co‑operative movement. Our other criteria are:
- Any design should be in keeping with our brand values: ethical, relevant and authentic; and our style guide.
- Any design should celebrate the fact that it is the International Year of Co‑operatives and that each individual business displaying the certificate is part of this global movement.
- The certificate will be printed on white recycled A4 card (provided by Paperback)
- Other considerations: space for the member’s name, expiry date, and mentions “member of Co-operatives UK” somewhere.
How to enter
Send your completed design with the name of your co-operative, email address to john.atherton@uk.coop or upload your design direct to: www.uk.coop/designs
Entries will be voted for online, and the three most popular designs will be judged by a panel or members, Board Members and staff from Co-operatives UK.
